This week at Lake Forest Elementary in Mr. Moon/Geoghegan’s class was great week with many fun activities. We had crazy hat/sock day in which many students participated. In science this week we learned about soil and its characteristics such as crumbly or sticky, its color, if it sinks or floats, powdery, moist or dry, soft or hard, sandy...etc. In addition we also learned about the rock cycle and how rocks go from one stage to the next. In Social Studies this week we learned about how the Assyrians took control over Babylon. Also that the Chaldeans built Babylon with Nebuchadnezzar. That the Phoenicians grew rich because of trade of fine goods. They also developed the alphabet. In Math we briefly reviewed basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. We also started learning about algebraic expressions. In PE numbers 1-11 did yoga with Ms.Cheon, #12-22 played softball with Mrs. Obermeyer. #23-33 played soccer with Mr.Pacak.
